TEC provides the services necessary to conduct traffic signal warrant analysis on intersections where signalization is either currently or projected to be determined to improve the overall safety and efficiency. TEC utilizes current and/or projected traffic volume data, pedestrian volume data and historical crash data to conduct the analysis. The data is compared to the traffic signal warrant information as contained in the latest edition of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) to determine if the intersection satisfies the warrants necessary for the installation of a traffic signal.
